My Smiling Mind - finding happiness for young people and the young at heart

Hey all!

I just wanted to share with you a fantastic program aimed at young people and the young at heart, called Smiling Mind.

This a great, free program, with the aim of teaching simple mindfulness skills to assist you in staying in the moment and increasing your happiness as you learn to disengage with worry or regret.

The Smiling Mind program was built with very careful consideration of today's life and social needs, calling upon specialist insight from experts such as Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, one of Australia's leading child and adolescent psychologists. And don't worry if you are no longer an adolescent! The program offers tailored versions for all ages!

The program guides you through a series of ten mindfulness sessions, taking approximately ten weeks. Each session teaches you about a different aspect and subject of mindfulness, and guides you through a very simple practice of this aspect.

I think that this program is absolutely wonderful in every way. It is very simple in use and design, yet quite appealing too. Each session is no longer than 10 minutes, allowing you to easily fit a moment of peace and serenity into your busy life. The program also offers shorter mindfulness practices for those days when you are pressed for time. Each session also asks you about your mood, thoughts and behaviour, before and after, allowing you to keep track of your progress.

I'm currently up to session 4, and am already seeing significant differences in my 'before' and 'after' moods and behaviours. I feel that this program is teaching me incredible skills in coping with the craziness of my busy life!

I strongly recommend this program to absolutely everyone! No ifs or buts! It is a fantastic way to learn how to reconnect with your inner child-like curiosity about the world around you and really does help to put a smile back on your mind!

You can find the free program online here, or search for it in the iTunes App Store for a portable experience!

Let me know how you go!
